See you on the flippity flip!

The last day with Mom and Bobo was quite exceptional other than a minor room service issue. I know what you're thinking, "Oh my gosh that sounds so horrible that you were in a beautiful hotel and got to order delicious room service and they brought the wrong thing so you had to reorder and eat a little later." But when egg yolks make Bobo puke it is a pretty important issue okay.
We stayed in the Sukhumvit Holiday Inn this time. Our only plan for the day was shopping for souvenirs to bring back. That was the only plan because all three of us are the worst shoppers in the sense that after 15 minutes we get tired and cranky and just want to leave. However, we stuck it out for 2 hours and got everyone things we think they will really like.

I also became a pro at bartering. It takes some thought you know like you can't go too low too fast and you don't want to get ripped off. Most importantly though you have to stand your ground on the price that you want. Don't feel bad for them and go along with their price that is 200 baht more than you wanted to spend! They are trying to rip YOU off! So anyway I think we did pretty good over all. The worst feeling though is when you say a price that you think is super low and they accept right away, then you know you got ripped off. It happens to us all though.
Sorry Bobo I know you don't like this picture, but it shows our shopping well.
We got lots of stuff.
Also you are very pretty.
We went and had a final lunch at our favorite gigantic Gourmet Market (Thai Whole Foods) and went back to the hotel to hang out. We went down to the pool that turned out to be super cool in both senses of the word. So we lounged on these huge poolside loungers the size of a full bed cuddled under a towel that covered the whole length of said lounger. Bob was hanging on her phone, Mom was reading a map, and I was reading. And we were all doing these things just waiting until 5 o'clock came around so we could get a casual drink from 7/11 and go hang out in the room.
A movie paired with a delicious room service sandwich made for a great last evening. I miss them so much already. By 'them' I don't mean the movie and the sandwich if you were confused. I mean I miss Mom and Bobo. It was one successful vacation.
There is such cool art all over downtown
White dudes dancing… I think
Feed the birds, tuppence a bag, tuppence a bag…
Colorfully painted small domes.
Unsure whether they are simply art or serve an additional purpose like a seat perhaps?
A fairly terrible photo I took while looking to my right and watching a security guard
Shrines for the King like this are everywhere
A lovely balcony garden
